CIDPEX2016, organized by China National Household Paper Industry Association (CNHPIA), was held April 11-13 in Nanjing, Jiangsu, China. The record-setting number of exhibitors and professional visitors, large scale and influence of the exhibition and the high-level conference made CIDPEX2016 the largest and prestigious event of tissue paper and disposable hygiene products industry in the world. A good platform to explore the Chinese market, CIDPEX also attracted more overseas exhibitors and visitors to Nanjing this year. Review of Each Pavilion In the tissue paper pavilion, leading manufacturers, such as APP, Vinda, Dongshun, Orient Champion and Welfare all showed up for the event. The use of “natural color” tissue paper has grown very fast in recent years and this popularity was evident at CIDPEX. The exhibitors showing natural color tissue paper attracted many visitors to their booths. These manufacturers are focusing on communication with consumers, high product quality, environmental friendliness and product differentiation. Various new products and beautiful packaging in the disposable hygiene products pavilion attracted the attention of many visitors. Well-known brands such as Via, A&S, Daddybaby, Mignon Baby, Baby Energy, COCO and Joy offered high quality products to visitors. Many companies added new products to their lines. For example, Hangzhou Coco Healthcare Products developed a full range of adult care products, not only including adult diapers but also crutch, wheel chair and skin care products. In the raw material pavilion, the suppliers brought their new solutions to help make differentiated finished products with excellent performance. For example, Foshan Xinfei introduced the thinnest release paper in the world, with a weight of only 25gsm, while Avoteck (Dongguan) introduced a new breathable film. In the machinery pavilion, many new developments were demonstrated onsite. Well-known machinery providers such as Andritz, Valmet, Toscotec, A.Celli, Kawanoe Zoki, Fabio Perini, Baosuo, Dechangyu, Soontrue, Fameccanica, GDM and Hengchang all exhibited, and Jiangsu JWC Machinery brought the only baby diaper machine onsite, which attracted a lot of attention. High-level Conference Another highlight of CIDPEX2016 was the conference held on April 10, one day before the exhibition, featuring: Carefully designed conference program: topics were chosen for each session and invited experts to give speeches on those topics. Emphasis on interaction: a forum was set up for interaction on the hot topics. The audience communicated with experts enhancing the interactive atmosphere. Improved international level: all speeches given on tissue paper and disposable hygiene products were given in both English and Chinese through simultaneous translation, which broke the language barrier and improved the international level of the conference. The conference included 34 speeches divided into three themes: tissue paper, the disposable hygiene products industry and management and marketing. The conference attracted more than 500 attendees, doubling the number of last year’s event. Experts including finished products manufacturers, machinery and raw material providers, retailers, consulting companies and NGOs, such as Hengan, Vinda, Andritz, BASF, EDANA, BCH gave in-depth speeches on the market development, latest technology and innovation. At the CIDPEX2016 conference, new views and technologies were talked about. The event provided a good opportunity to get in touch with professionals across the world. CIDPEX2017 will be held in Wuhan, China March 22-24, 2017. More information: www.cnhpia.org/en/shyz/.
